Informed, compassionate abortion doula support.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you provide medical advice?
No, I do not provide medical advice and will refer you to your medical professional if advice is asked for. Instead of medical advice, I provide emotional support.
What if I can’t afford one of your calls?
I never, ever want price to be a barrier to someone accessing my services. If price is an issue for you, please reach out to me and we can discuss support options for your situation.
What are your qualifications?
I received my abortion doula training through the Colorado Doula Project (and am currently seeking additional training opportunities). I also have a degree in psychological science and experience working as a mental health counselor.
I had an abortion years ago. Can I still call with you?
Yes! A large part of what I do is post-abortion support. Healing doesn’t have a timeline, and neither do my services - regardless of when you had your abortion, you can schedule a call with me.
Will you help me decide if I should have an abortion?
Whether or not to have an abortion is an incredibly individual decision and it’s not one that I can (or will) make for you. While I’m here to provide support, listening, and understanding, I cannot decide if an abortion is the right choice for you.
Someone close to me had an abortion, but it’s impacting me. Can we call?
Definitely! I provide support for the partners of people who have had an abortion. Just because you didn’t have the abortion doesn’t mean that it can’t impact you - if it is, reach out to me.
Why do you say “people who have had abortions” instead of “women?”
The answer to this is simple: not everyone who has an abortion is a woman. I offer services to people with a variety of different gender identities, so I use gender-inclusive language.
